Photography is a craft that needs to be learnt, honed and developed. My commitment as a photographer has provided the skills and techniques which enables me to share my passion for photography with the rest of the world.
To relax I would regularly take time out from my busy commercial assignments and find myself photographing landscapes where I felt an affiliation with nature. This hobby became an obsession which resulted in opening Brisbane’s first photographic gallery in May 2002 “Captive Inspirations” my lifelong goal fulfilled.
All images selected for the collection have three qualities Clarity, depth and mood.
“Please enjoy my collection of landscape photography”
As circumstances change in life so do the paths we pursue.
In April 2006 Captive Inspirations Gallery closed it's doors in the Brisbane Arcade to continue it's journey along another of those paths.
Sadly, Tony's journey ended in July 2005 when after a 15 month battle with cancer, he passed away-age 46. As Tony's wife Donna, it was my decision to diversify the business and continue to operate Captive Inspirations on line gallery in Tony's memory. This will enable me to spend more time with our two boys Clinton and Calen and inspire them to pursue their lifelong goals as their father did.
Tony leaves behind an amazing legacy-a lifetime of memories captured forever in his beautiful photographs. Tony's motto: "Live each day to see tomorrows sunrise."
I think of this venture, not as a closure.....simply a diversion in life, like a river or stream carving a new path to follow. Donna Bee
