What is a Limited Edition Print?
Tony Bees spectacular photographic images are works of art - printed on quality photographic paper, renowned to hold richness in colour and sharpness. Being the world’s finest archival photographic material, this durable paper is fade resistant, and will maintain its vivid colours and clarity. Only 100-200 of each image is ever produced throughout the world.
Given the restricted supply, means the image is a valuable investment. As the edition sells and the images become rarer, the price of the image appreciates accordingly. Starting prices are very reasonable, to purchase early in the edition is an advantage as the value of the image will increase dramatically as the edition sells. When the edition is sold out, we will act as a broker by contacting an existing owner who may consider selling their print. Each image is numbered and signed by photographer. Tony Bee and is accompanied by its own Certificate of Authenticity. Since the passing of Tony all images are now computer generated using an original signature of Tonys.

Please consult a professional picture framer experienced with photographic prints. Ensure all mounting adhesives and matt boards are acid free. Mount photograph on to a very smooth flat surface like aluminium (1.2mm thick) or perspex (plexi-glass) our recommendation – shinkolite acrylic. Recommended adhesives Neschen-Gudy 802 or AR-Optic mount. Use acid free matt board for the borders that keep glass from direct contact with the image. Captive Inspirations frames are made from hoop pine, an environmental friendly, plantation renewable timber, custom made to suit the image. Colour selections of matt boards are individually selected to complement the print. Delivery prices of framed images are variable depending on the size of the print and its destination. Please contact us via email for further assistance on framing pricing and any queries.

Exhibit your image away from direct sunlight. Ensure your mounting brackets (hooks) are suitable for your wall surface; ask your framer for advice. Use two hooks -placing them as far as possible apart to distribute the weight evenly. Ensure nothing is placed on the glass as it may break and damage the image surface. To clean glass, use a soft cloth and streak free glass cleaner. Lighting by 12-volt spotlights is recommended, thus bringing your image to life, enhancing highlights, colour and particular features. Installation of ceiling lighting approximately one meter out from the wall, angled down at 45 degrees onto your picture creates even illumination. The size of the image will dictate the number of lights required.

All my images are shot on slide film. I do not use any colour enhancement filters. The film is professionally processed in E6 chemistry. Processed film is viewed on a light box, then images are selected on their merits. Captive Inspirations image are then sent to the print lab where the prints are made to match the images on the slides. Thus ensuring "what I see through my lens is what you have on your wall".
